Easy DIY Halloween T- shirt with Cricut
Today, I bring you a process to have Halloween T-shirt using Cricut. It's so easy if you follow some simple steps below.
Let's get started with materials. You have to prepare kinds of machines such as: Iron on vinyl, Easy press, heat transfer vinyl, vinyl material, Cricut machine, knife, weeding tools. The most important things are T-shirt.
If you have enough materials like I recommended, you can downloaded these Halloween Cricut designs at https://theprintvectors.com/collections/halloween-designs or click the link https://theprintvectors.com/ to explore and choose more fantastic designs.
After downloading and choosing your favorite design, you upload it on Cricut Design Space. Firstly, login or register your Cricut Design Space, choose Upload => Upload pattern or Upload image ( please choose the Halloween file or you can change for another projects). When the pattern has been ready, you can change color you want and adjust the size of design until you're satisfied with changes.
Choosing the temperate panel. this panel is on the left of the canvas area that called templates. For templates, you will find out all of the surfaces suitable for you to visualize your design.
Turn on the Mirror option. You need to do this because you just cut upside down this type of material. Therefore you should do this vital step to make your design will look backwards.
The next step is facing down vinyl material. Remember shiny side of vinyl is down your mat. Then you smooth it without any bubbles. After that, you insert your mat into the Cricut machine, then go ahead and hit the blinking button. The Cricut machine will make cut line on your mat following Halloween design you set.
Now, your cut is finished and you can start weeding your project. The knife is reasonable to remove parts that you don't use to transfer. You press enough vinyl material. Be careful for this step because it's easily to cut your design mat. .An amazing tips for you is feeling with your fingers where you cut. Then peel away excess material.
It's time to use your weeding tools. It's easy to remove the small corner that aren't contained in Halloween T - shirt design. To pull the rest of the design, you can hold it up to the light to see which parts your design need to be weed. Or you can take advanced light box which would show light through the cracks that your Cricut machine has cut. This makes it more easier to see intricate cut lines on your project.
Flip over your design and remove it from your mat. You remove your mat away from the transfer. That way is good because it may not affect the small design. It would look pretty good if you don't leave any dots in the middle of design.
The next step is heating up. You choose Iron or Cricut Easy press, however, using Easy press is better than Iron because it has a large surface area and it heats up easily exact temperature. Furthermore, this machine has timer so you know exactly how long you Zero steam to make sure water basin is completely empty.
You can see the differences from Iron and easy press. It shows a big holes on the bottom of Iron.
Even though you have set the reasonable surface temperature, but with DIY T - shirt, I suppose to set 315 degrees and press for 30 seconds.
The most important things is that choosing the right center. I recommended that you should fold your T - shirt in half and press the fold line. This gives me a lone down the center of the T - shirt so that you can perfectly center the design. Then you can create a new fold that's right underneath the armpits. This is going to give you another line that you can work off. Then open your shirt back up and now, you have a preheat lines which make exact center for your design.
The prefinal step is tapping your design on your T - shirt. Let's fold in half your design to check the center of this design. Then press a mark in the center on my design and at the bottom to see a visual line . Now you try to put the marked line of the design right the fold line on your shirt. Then you Smooth it gently and use Easy Press or Iron to press. The thing you need now is waiting for time up.
The last step is that you spend 15 seconds to cool the design on T - shirt, then peel the design away from your shirt slowly. Recently, your design has completely transferred.
When finishing all the processes I give, you have a cute DIY Halloween T - shirt for this year's Halloween season.
Good luck!
